La Liga Betting Tips -29th & 30th October
Sporting Gijon v Sevilla
Sevilla to win to nil at 3.4 with Paddy Power
Sporting are on a rotten run of form – picking up just a solitary point from their last six league games, while only Deportivo have scored fewer than their 7 league goals. Sevilla meanwhile are starting to click into gear – having won their first away win in 17 months at Leganes, which they followed up with successive 1-0 victories over Dinamo Zagreb and Atletico. Expect a low-scoring game which Sevilla should shade by a goal or two.
Alaves v Real Madrid
Both teams to score: Yes at 2.05 with 10Bet
Real Madrid will naturally be favourites for this game, but they have failed to keep a clean sheet in each of their last eight matches while Alaves carry a danger themselves – having held Atletico at the Calderon and scored twice in a fine win at Camp Nou. Casemiro’s absence is being felt by Los Blancos who simply are giving the opposition far too much space, while Madrid’s own attacking talents are obvious. Expect a few goals in this one.
Atletico Madrid v Malaga
Atletico to win to nil at 1.7 with Bet Victor
Atletico have conceded only four goals in eleven matches this season – the fewest in Europe and that’s despite coming up against free-scoring Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Celta Vigo, among others. They narrowly lost out at Sevilla last time out but expect them to bounce back here with a victory without conceding against a Malaga side who have done ok so far but have failed to win any of their four away games.
Barcelona v Granada
Over 5.5 goals at 2.85 with Unibet
Granada are a mess, there are no two ways about it. Dismissing Paco Jemez after six games following a haphazard summer of mass sales and temporary loan deals, they have been out of their depth so far and are currently winless – three points from nine games makes for grim reading. They’ve shipped 23 goals already, including seven recently at Atletico and expect a similar score line here – Barcelona have already hit 47 goals this season, a number which should significantly increase on Saturday.
Athletic Bilbao v Osasuna
Aritz Aduriz anytime goalscorer at 1.95 with Bwin
The striker is in the autumn of his career and his fantastic form from the last 18 months has continued into this season – with five goals in his eight league appearances. Raul Garcia is the only other Athletic player to score more than once this season, and home advantage against an Osasuna side who have conceded at an average of over two goals per game this campaign is a great opportunity for Aduriz. These odds are significantly more generous with Bwin than elsewhere, so don’t miss out.
Real Betis v Espanyol
Take the draw at 3.4 with various
No side has drawn as many games as Espanyol this season – over half (5 of 9) of their La Liga games have ended with the spoils shared. Betis too have drawn half of their home fixtures and despite their last minute winner at Osasuna last week, their form is inconsistent and they have struggled to break teams down. Expect a close encounter at Benito Villamarin and with a draw the most likely outcome, these odds are tempting.
Deportivo v Valencia
Take the draw at 3.4 with various
Deportivo haven’t drawn a home game so far, whilst Valencia haven’t drawn a game anywhere this season. This is 17th hosting 15th and whilst the visitors look more organised and coherent with Cesare Prandelli in charge, a trip to the Riazor is never easy. This is also a game with added needle – due to historical matches between the two which have soured relations for the past two decades – which should make the atmosphere electric. Both teams need a positive result but the odds for a draw are hugely generous and more likely than any obvious winner.
